The Mac edition is the whole engine: the same rule-based routing that ships on iOS, plus the inspection half — decrypt, read, pause and rewrite the traffic you choose.

Download it, drag it to your Applications folder, and open it. Start the 14-day trial from Settings ▸ Account — no card, nothing to cancel. When you buy, sign in with the email you bought with; that’s the activation, and there’s no license key to enter. Proxa updates itself from there.
Routing to your own servers and the traffic list keep working after the trial. HTTPS inspection, per-app rules, custom DNS, scripting and breakpoints need a license — nothing you configured is deleted, and a license brings it all back.
What the Mac edition adds
iOS ships the routing half — rules, policy groups, capture. On the Mac you also get the half that reads what moved:
- HTTPS inspection. Per-host MITM with a root certificate whose private key stays in your Keychain. Only the hosts you name are decrypted; everything else passes through untouched.
- Breakpoints. Pause a matching exchange mid-flight, edit the headers or body by hand, then let it go — on the request side, the response side, or both.
- JavaScript scripting. Hooks on requests, responses and routing decisions, with an http, storage and crypto standard library.
- WebSocket. Frames captured and replayed on a timeline, not just the opening handshake.
- Per-app routing. Rules that match the process, so one app goes through a proxy while the rest of the machine doesn’t.
Requirements
- macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later.
- Apple silicon. Intel Macs are not supported.
- Permission to install a system network extension, which is what lets Proxa route traffic. No kernel extension is involved.
- Sold direct from getproxa.app, not through the Mac App Store.
Price and license
US$39, one time. Not a subscription. The app is yours to keep and keeps working, and the price you see is the price you pay — tax is included, not added at checkout.
Updates are included — there is no upgrade fee for a later version.
A license covers two Macs, and you can move it between machines from the account portal. Extra device seats are US$19.99 each if you need more.
Buying starts in the account portal: you sign in with your email — the license is attached to that address — and pay through Stripe. There’s no license key to keep track of; the app is activated by signing in.
