Everything you need to get Proxa working — and how to reach a human.
Contact us
Email hello@getproxa.app and we’ll help. To get you a faster answer, include:
- your platform — macOS or iOS;
- your app version (in the app: Settings → About → Version); and
- a short description of what you expected versus what happened.
We aim to reply within a few business days.
Getting started
- Install and enable. Get Proxa for iPhone and iPad from the App Store. On first launch it explains what it can see and asks you to agree before anything is captured; then allow the VPN configuration when prompted — that’s what lets Proxa route traffic. On macOS, allow the system network extension.
- Add where traffic should go. In Config → Servers, add a proxy server or import a subscription link.
- Write rules. In Rules, decide what routes where — by domain, keyword, or as a catch-all.
Frequently asked
- What is Proxa?
- A rule-based proxy and network toolbox: it decides where each connection goes and (on macOS) lets you inspect it. It runs on your device.
- Which platforms are supported?
- iOS 17 and later — a routing-focused edition, available now on the App Store, which shows the current price for your region. The macOS edition carries the full toolbox, including HTTPS inspection and per-app routing, and is sold direct from this site for US$39 — see Proxa for Mac.
- How do purchases and refunds work?
- Proxa for iOS is bought once from the App Store, with no subscription and no account. Apple handles billing, so refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Reinstalling on any device signed in to the same Apple Account costs nothing. Proxa for Mac is bought direct from us instead, as a one-time purchase. For anything about an order, email hello@getproxa.app. Your license there lives in the account portal, and the app is activated by signing in — there’s no license key. Full detail in the Terms.
- My traffic isn’t being routed.
- Check that Proxa’s VPN configuration (iOS) or system extension (macOS) is enabled and connected, that capture/routing is on, and that a rule actually matches the traffic. A catch-all FINAL rule is a good baseline.
- How do I import a config or subscription?
- Use Config → Servers to add a subscription link, or Config → Import to bring in an existing configuration.
- Does Proxa see my data?
- Your traffic is processed on your device and stays there — we don’t run servers that receive it. See our Privacy Policy.
- How do I remove Proxa?
- Delete the app. On iOS you can also remove the VPN profile in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management; on macOS, remove the network extension if prompted. This deletes Proxa’s on-device data.
